At Roots, we are bridging the gap between school, home and community.
Our Process
We’ve developed a specialized process to make sure you’re covered at every transition.
Consultation on the phone or in person with you and your family
We get to know you and your family by discussing your basic needs and routine.
We will gain an understanding of your child and your hopes for therapy.
Get to know us. We will share with you our therapeutic approach, general info about Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), as well as the variety of therapies available at Roots Therapeutic Academy.
If you decide to proceed with further assessment and therapy with Roots, we will schedule an individual assessment for your child.
and your family
Assessment
During the assessment, we will spend some time touring Roots, getting familiar with the space, and allowing your child to get comfortable.
We will then begin talking further about your goals for therapy and your child’s needs.
We’ll gather copies of any relevant assessments, IEPs, and physician reports as well as information regarding your family and your child’s schedule.
Our goal is to develop a therapy schedule that provides your child the greatest opportunity for learning and success, all the while supporting your busy family.
Develop an individualized therapy plan
Based on the results of the assessment, our team will recommend the amount of therapy that will benefit your child most. We then work together to discuss your thoughts about those recommendations, review your child’s current schedule that may impact time at Roots, and move to develop a schedule that works for your family.

Build a schedule
Roots Autism Solutions and Therapeutic Academy is able to provide families with the opportunity to benefit from a variety of therapies, in an enriched environment, and develop a schedule that works for your child and family.
We prioritize a schedule that helps your child grow and progress in all environments.
Choose the right team of therapists for your child
After we have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of your child, we will ensure that we have the right therapists for your child.
It is critical that we have individuals on your team who have the skills, experience, and qualities that match your child.
We start the team development process immediately following our initial assessment, so as to not delay the start of therapy.
